clean-water

In Delaware, 90% of the waterways are polluted with excess nutrients and legacy toxics, with over 100 miles of these waters under fishing advisories from PCBs, metals, and pesticides. The Delaware Clean Water Alliance Campaign focuses on why waters are polluted and how dedicated and sustainable funding could be used to improve water quality. Improving our water quality will lead to a cleaner environment, secured drinking water sources, healthier food and crop sources, improved economy, and increased tourism. The campaign is a broad coalition of organizations, businesses, recreational groups, academia, and nonprofits across the state. We work with partner businesses like Wild Birds Unlimited, have amazing opportunities to participate in stream clean-ups, and opportunities to help out by becoming a citizen scientist and water warrior!
